Getting Ready To Go!

Welcome to our first entry! We thought before heading out, we should give the blog a test run...We’ve been busy this summer-with all of the college orientations and organizing/packing the kids to move.

Getting Jordan off to Boise in August was the first step.

Jordan is now a Bronco!

We’re pleased to report he is settling in very well and has a great room-mate, John, that seems to be able to put up with his mess–or perhaps they’re both a bit messy–hard to know since they made an effort to clean up for us when we visited for parents’ weekend! We had fun watching the boys compete in a lax scrimmage.

We also enjoyed meeting some of his new friends and had fun hiking the Table Rock trail and going to a Broncos' game.

Next on the schedule was to get Emily moved in at SB, which went quite well despite all of her stuff and packing 3 girls into one room! Hard to be the last one to go...and hard for us to leave her...

Can’t argue with the amazing ocean view from the dorm window–we think she will settle in well in this beautiful environment.

We even had a quick visit from Steph in September-thanks to Louis-and got to see her new cute haircut! We sure miss her...very happy she will be home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas!!

So, now we are ready to go! We head out to Firenze on Tuesday 10/1-flying overnight via Zurich. We will be so tired by the time we're on that plane, we'll be sure to sleep and will arrive in Italia pronto andare!
